Taking horse to meet hounds

I'm thinking of taking my horse to the meet in the village to see the hounds - he's only 4 and not ready to go out for the day yet.
Is there an etiquette for doing this? Should I pay someone for the privilege? Or let them know in advance?
Hunting newbie so not sure on anything. Thanks

This - though I would personally leave it until you feel he is ready to actually hunt, as it may well just wind him up and do you no favours!

I would leave it too and take him autumn hunting next year.
