Taking yearling to a show

Hi everyone

Its my yearling's first show in a week. Now, I am ok at trimming my hunters but would I 'trim' up my yearling. We are obviously going to plait him but I feel it would be very unfair to trim his whiskers off like my older boys. What is the norm for yearling turnout?!!

I leave the muzzle and eye whiskers on, but I trim her ears, jaw & legs - plus belly beard early on in the year!!!

Plait mane, tail & forelock.
