Talk to me about sweating and seat savers

I have an embarrassing problem. I get very hot when I ride and this results in a sweaty botty. Unsightly patch on my jodhpurs , but now my saddle leather is becoming discoloured. Might a seat saver help by absorbing the moisture or would it make things worse? Any suggestions?

I know how you feel. I sweat a lot from exertion and concentration, especially in the small of my back and it trickles down...

I try to always wear dark clothing, as this shows the damp less.

But on hot days, I sometimes find that my black shirt and the waistband of my trousers have white circles where the water from the sweat has evaporated leaving behind the salt.

In the summer wear breathable riding tights and riding knickers. A seat saver would save your saddle but may make you hotter

A sheepskin seat saver would probably help, the pile should allow an airflow.
