Yesterday I was completely stationary in a traffic jam on the M6. A lady was in a grey and red horse lorry next to me.

We proceeded to then have a whole conversation in hand and arm waving :D

Noticing some rosettes on my dashboard she asked me if I had horses. I replied that the rosettes were for chicken showing. She asked about the bridle on the passenger seat and I said that I do have two section A ponies (Village people eat your heart out at my ace signalling for a section A lol)

I found out that the lady had two horses, the one in the back was chestnut and 17hh and she was going schooling and was meeting a friend but would be too late after getting stuck in the traffic

She found out that I dont show my ponies but do want to in the future and that they are 2 and 4, she knows they are grey and one is naughty

Fab and great fun - nice to while away a few minutes with a fellow horsey person in such a way and so funny that we were able to interpret each others mad hand waving

If you are reading thank you so much lol

Disclaimer - we were absolutely stationary, nothing was moving for as far as you could see ahead

I asked if the lady was off to a show and she said she was not but was going jumping

I cant remember how 'naughty' came about, I'd love to say it was something really funny but I doubt it was lol

What a lovely way to amuse yourself in that situation :D.

I can guess how you "said" some of those things, but chestnut, grey, meeting a friend etc?
Wow, that the two of you managed to find out so much, through hand signals/waving :D.

I once got stuck on the M1 in a massive jam. People were kicking footballs around on the hard shoulder for entertainment. Someone found a pack of cards so we played poker (no money involved!!) with the lads in the car in the next lane!

Well there was two of them going jumping but only one person in the lorry so I guessed it was likely to be a friend

My hair is bright red and the dashboard of my van is grey so a bit of pointing by both sides sorted those out!
