Talking of travelling, how do YOU tie up?

After reading the mini thread, it made me wonder.

In a trailer doesn't everyone cross tie?

I used to cross tie in the trailer but now I have my lorry I tie with a single rope with a panic snap on WEAKENED bailer twine

I've never travelled Pickle in a trailer, as he is so big that I just think he's more comfortable in a lorry. I a lorry I use one of those ties with a quick release onto half piece of bailer twine.

I used to cross tie in my old lorry with no partition in it, so horse didn't turn, but now, in trailer, I single tie with a quick release clip.

I cross tie in my trailer using 2 trailer ties with safety clips attached to twine.

If I travel my horse on her own I dont tie up at all. If she has company then she gets tied up short so no fighting as she likes the taste of fresh blood !!!!!!!!

I cross tie but he's in a 510 with no partition so prevents him trying to turn. I use roaps with panic snaps onto thin twine.

One rope, but I can't remember the last time I used a trailer, always a lorry for mine.

One quick-release rope. Dont see the point in cross tying. I like my horse to be able to put his head down to reach hay and stretch etc.

Same as suzy - mine is in a trailer with no partitions so I cross tie to prevent him from turning around (which he did once when I'd only clipped on one of the ropes temporarily
