Well you may know i got my new girl delivered last night, kept her in stable last night. Went up this morning before work in a field with about 5 others.

She had a fe squeals and kicks to start with, then calmed down in the 10 minutes i was there, i have felt so ill all day at work panicing about her. But got there at 4 and she was one of the herd! Certainly high on the pecking order though!

I have brought her in for the night to get her used to her stable. will pop her out again tomorrow morning before work.

I gave her a groom tonight and handled her quite a bit, chatting away, telling her how beautiful she is!!
ight repeat this tomorrow evening and maybe try lungeing thursday? Does that sound like a plan??

She is my first horse to own, have only loaned before so its quite different... have to keep pinching myself as it doesnt feel real still!!

It's so nerve racking isn't it?

When I first got Thumper I must admit I left him in the field 24/7 with his new mates for four days before I brought him in . It was important to me that he got the opportunity to settle in with as little disruption as possible. I got on him on the fourth day - and had him in I suppose for a maximum of an hour by the time I'd ridden and faffed around.
