After blood tests pony has been found with tapeworms, he's been given a double dose of the wormer the vets gave us (forgot the name) and given electrolytes as he was dehydrated. Just wanting info on it really, does anyone know if theres any way they can find out about whether or not it's done internal damage? Is internal damage irreparable or can it be treated? Are tapeworms causing internal damage common?
He's had quite a lot of weight loss, difficult behaviour and shown up a bit lame at certain times, not any different on bute and doesn't show up lame after flexions.
Thanks in advance!
