I'm a bit of a newbie to hunting and am off tomorrow. Last time I went my horses' tail came back in such a mess that I thought it would be a good idea to tape it up like they do when they play Polo. Do I just do one big plait, fold it up and put electricl tape around it? Any tricks or advice appreciated!

I went to the meet at Three Compasses in West Hanningfield. Absoloutely brilliant! Even though he did lose a shoe. Really am a complete greenie when it comes to hunting and as my boy is onlyjust rising 6, we've never negotiated ditches or anyhting like it but boy, what a way to cure your fears! Jumped all the ditches beautifully. And to top the day we got a prize for the best turned out gee! Didn't even know that they did this. Brilliant brilliant day with such friendly people! All I can say is that if you have never been before - try it. I dreamt the hunt in my sleep last night and didn't stop grinning til this morning!
