I wanted to share my story with you all...
In April 2008 my welsh cob colt was found paralysed in his stable with no obvious cause. He was completely paralysed in his back legs, semi paralysed in his front legs and stuck on the floor of his stable. It took months before he could stand well enough to travel for tests which showed a fractured neck and three displaced vertebrae.
He was given about a 5% chance of surviving and we were advised to shoot him by one vet. Fortunately my vets were totally supportive, and day by day Fiasco was given every chance to pull through. It has been a very long three years or so and we are not back to 100% yet but this year saw three massive milestones...
His first wonderful foals were born
He was successfully broken to ride
And he returned to the showing ring....
I am so proud of my lovely boy or fighting every step of the way, never giving up and loving life.
