Would love to hear all your ambitions for the coming year! Mine is to go double clear at an ODE! Also, move up to 2'9'' SJ :D Happy New Year everyone!Best of luck xx

Mine is to get my horse's back mended and a nice new leather saddle fitted so he is as well as a low mileage 14 year old can be, then focus on suppling, stretching the topline and working on the bit. Not for any competitive end; just for us.

I hope to do some veteran showing classes, maybe some VHS ones if we do well enough. Also keep going with my dressage and maybe even do a novice test if I can find my horses medium paces :-)

Final target (and the one I'm least likely to meet) is to do some jumping, either SJ or XC, but pony is a bit enthusiastic about it and scares the bejesus out of me.

Would also like my sisters cob to stay sound this year, as she has had a horrible couple of years with him, has been very worried and has missed out on lots of fun bless her.

Mine was to take tipsy to his first show but I've just been to the yard and he's injured his bad tendon. With a bit of luck he's just strained it a bit in the mud and he'll be fine after a few days in, if that's the case then I still want do do a show but if not my goal will be for him to recover fully :/

To ride after a break due to heart problems, Loose lots weight, and the biggest one is to get the cardiologist permission to fly long haul so I can see my brother and family as well as SIL in Toronto, and BIL in Botswana something I can't do at the moment due to the heart problems.

To keep riding and keep the horse I've got on loan at the moment.
I'm already planning our first dressage test for two weeks into the new year, hopefully by this time nex year I'll be in a position to make my first test of 2014 a novice!
Hope to get out and do some jumping too, but I haven't thought too far ahead with that yet; maybe well start with a 75cm course and work up from there. She's got the scope and the talent but not the rider....yet!

Then were going to take our long hacks up to nine miles (currently stuck at just over 2 miles) and when the fields are suitable to ride in again, (not holding my breath) work up to having a canter in an open space, maybe even a gallop!

to keep HRH and myself happy, healthy and fit :)
2012 saw a lot of time off for her and it made me realise that above all else - thats what is important

Continue schooling Ben until his top line is well established and enter a few walk and trot dressage comps, then a few showing classes during the season... Possibly royal cornwall if he is up to standard by then, then a couple of jumping comps towards the end of the season. Possibly take him hunting towards the end of the year.

Get my schooling up to scratch first and foremost! Then just continue to enjoy doing what ever it is we do and get the Pony out to hopefully a few county shows aiming towards affiliating and (dare I say it) qualifying by the end of the year.

I really want to make this new adventure into side-saddle count as well, it's been a dream to start and now I'm being funded to do it so even more the reason to throw myself into it! :)

Good luck to us all for 2013 !!

To try something new with my boy - I am actually considering having a go at a bit of Showing... although not sure either me or my boy will have the patience for it but it will nice to have a go! :)

Mine is to lightly back then turn away my rising 4 yo...continue to see daughter have fun off LR...and to turn my lovely field ornament boy into something more than just decoration! :D
So to actually ride one of my own horses in 2013 would be pretty amazing!

To sell Peter and Leo - sorry boys, but coming to my senses I really don't need four horses when I sometimes struggle with enough time for one, so the two youngest will have to go. For Tinners backing to go smoothly, and for him to come home and hack out and be my perfect horse of a lifetime, and for Harley to celebrate his 21st birthday and generally be a good boy, and a nanny to Tinner, and still the naughty fun hack he's always been.

In a perfect world, Tinner would make it to a couple of low level events too, walk and trot test maybe, or at least just travelling with Harley to different hacking grounds - a friend and I are hoping to take them on a mini holiday hack this summer, probably just one night away from home will be enough!

Hoping to do some dressage with the Current Appy, and also to take her to maybe a couple of county shows where they have Appy classes. Also hope to do a bit of riding horse class showing this year too. We have transport for all these fun things. Also hope to be able to get out and about with sister and her mare to off road riding in our old stomping ground and find some new places for adventures :)

Horseywise I'm hoping to save up enough money to buy a wee 3.5t lorry- which then leads onto my next ambition for 2013, to get working my horse atleast 4/5 times a week and get out and about. I would loveloveloveeee to get to the beach a few times too. She's just coming back into work after a month off and is feeling fantastic so I'm very excited about what the future may hold!

Peoplewise I hope to get rid of the negative people in my life loose weight (I know everyone says this- but I realllly want to) :)

Hope everyone has a nice night tonight :)

Jump on a Newcomers ticket doing the SJI circuit.. ( which for me is a massive deal considering my history in confidence )
Lots of x country
Get over myself & hack out more alone:eek:
Join a riding club
Lots of showing in the summer
& generally try to have lots of fun inbetween my plans:)
Oh & defo once a month do a bloody good trip to the beach

Oh & start reschooling our Lead Rein to be a solid first ridden for my daughter, get her out doing some pony club etc..

I'd like to get out and about with my new mare doing dressage for the first time for me maybe if we're both up to it do some jumping and xc but overall just to enjoy my horse and have fun together

I would love to do both Taz's and I's first Novice Dressage test, would love to pass my trailer test so that I can use my trailer and get Taz out competing more often over the summer while I'm home from university. Most of all I just want Taz to stay healthy and happy :)
