It’s been almost 2 months since Tartine crossed the Channel and moved to her (temporary) new home in Wales. She has settled in perfectly and is loving life in Wales. In accordance with her livery agreement, she is getting 2 hours of work per week, which includes in hand/ long reining and ridden work.

The yard itself is a combination of paddock paradise and equicentral. She is in a mixed herd of about 7 other metabolically challenged horses and ponies, on a track which, when opened fully, is 2.5km of mixed footing including wooded areas and a river.

Straight off the lorry and looking a bit shell shocked:

Straight out for a leg stretch before meeting the herd:

Oh wow, what a fabulous set up, and doesn't Tartine look happy there. It's a world away from the restrictive set up where you had to keep her before.

Are you back in the UK yourself now?

Nope, I’m still in France. I was meant to be leaving at the beginning of June, but I’ve been ill almost constantly for 6 weeks now, so my house cleaning/packing hasn’t progressed as anticipated. I’m now aiming for the end of Jun.

I know where she is! I follow them on social media & the place looks amazing, if only it wasn't as far west! Tartine looks very happy & relaxed there, can't think of anywhere better for a horse to enjoy :) Hopefully you can join her soon!

She looks very settled, just hope she has her flippers ready for the normal Welsh weather, it has been unusually dry recently.

Could you PM me the name on Facebook? It looks like my ideal yard! I wish there was something similar near to me!
