EVENTING IRELAND PRESS RELEASE AUGUST 3RD 2007
03/08/2007 09:37:13

At a Board meeting of Eventing Ireland earlier this week, the directors were pleased to receive an application from Tattersall’s Ireland, to host a qualifier for the 2008 Eventing World Cup. Eventing Ireland is happy to support this application, and Chairman Neil Morris commented, “Tattersall’s have run a top class event for the past two years, been voted the best event in Ireland by the members, and received enthusiastic reviews by everyone that has visited and competed. I have every confidence that Tattersall’s will produce a world class competition if their bid is successful.” Event Director Jean Mitchell MBE added “I am delighted that the Board of Directors of Tattersalls Ireland have agreed to this application, and look forward to enhancing the event by including a CIC-W*** qualifying competition, whilst continuing to cater for those competing at CCI* and CCI** star

That means that Ballindenisk won't be hosting it, no surprise after what happened at this years event

I don't think that's quite right.

Tatts have certainly applied to hold the WC qual, but Ballindenisk have already submitted their request (as per today's Irish Field).Closing date not until Sept, so won't know until after that who gets to run it.
