Anyone know anything about these lines.... http://www.pedigreequery.com/one+good+thing

This is Joey's pedigree, he's been with us about 3 weeksish, he's 4 and was cut 3 months ago. We have high hopes for him as he is very athletic with a really good brain.
I'm just exctited at who owned him and how much he cost as a yearling- small things/ small minds

Godolphin- as I say, easily pleased!!
The lines dont really matter for eventing I suppose, just want to try and piece together his history. Bless him, he was a useless racehorse!!

Well, the dam's had quite a few, all USA bred so I don't know if the Racing post will pick any of them up but you could try the American racing sites for info. Her offspring were - Double Bay(2003), yours, Macklin, Gold Empress, Wallisville, Boom Town Girl, Zydeco, Soothing Slew and Phone Often (92).

SN will know some good sites from there, she might even be able to help with the info.

Here is the link to his form, far from useless, showed plenty of ability in minimal runs - the type of horse my dad would buy and win 10 races with.
You will see his relatives performance under his breeding, ask SN to get you a report off the American site for his full performance pedigree - she got one for me which is very thorough. The RP doesnt tend to store many american race records.
You will see Christian Wroe obtained him off Godolphin between his races of 27 oct 04 and 1 dec 05 - he must have picked up an injury. He then had 3 races in Dubai before having another 9 months off before reappearing at Salisbury under same trainership.

Oooh thankyou very much!!
He had sore shins and has been fired, I presume he didnt make his reserve at Ascot as he was offered to us very cheaply. He has been sound and seems well so hopefully theres nothing lying deeper within...

Here is his catalogue page from when he sold as a yrlg at Keeneland! http://www.keeneland.com/sales/Sep03/pdfs/438.pdf

I worked with his 1/2 sister Boom Town Girl. I most likely have some notes on him somewhere from that sale, as I was looking at Touch Gold colt's in particular, for a client! I certainly have pics of Touch Gold somewhere - will see if I can dig em out for you!! Shame he couldn't run, he's nicely bred and must have been a looker to be in Book 1 (the Select yrlgs) of the Keeneland Sale.

You are a superstar!!
I think its amazing how something so valuable as a yearling can become a reject and thrown back by the age of 4. He has landed on his feet though- he had better take to eventing!

You are welcome hun! Padua Farms in FL have set up a programme for rehabing failed racehorses and the last time I spoke to Nadia Sanan she was really enthusing over a Gone West colt (most likely gelding now) that had TOTALLY failed as a race horse - just wasn't interested - BUT, he could jump a house and a US team rider was trialling him! Gone West's stud fee is $125,000 and I believe the horse in question was a $900,000 yrlg
