Hi
I have a Grade A SJ TB mare who I would love to put to a performance TB stallion for a TB foal.
Does anyone know TB stallions who have a very good jump, must be a Grade A SJ or advanced eventer. A young stallion who looks like he will be that good would do as well.
Or a stallion who has consistently produced offspring with an excellent jump in either the UK or Ireland.
I know there are some TBs available abroad by AI but then I have the problem of "proper " TB papers.
I couldn't get this mare in foal this year so maybe a mute point anyhow and stallions with NFNF would be great if they exist at all

If no TBs exist would consider a performance Arab - same criteria.
On Google have only found Sir Game and Tranquil Bay. Does anyone know is Tranquil Bay still standing at stud

Thanks

Chase the Ace is in Germany at Marbach, at least he has been in 2007.

I did wonder as I heard a rumpu that he had been exported. Another missed opportunity for British breeders <sigh>.

Does he have any frozen semen availabale? Of course you could not use it for TB breeing but it would be OK for SHBGB, AES etc I would imagine.

Must be getting very forgetful in my old age!

Would certainly second Stravinsky XX -- especially as I was the first person ever to recommend that he be used by a UK breeder (Pintofields) after seeing him do GP dressage in Denmark.

He has racing from in POland too :-)

I understand one of the judges who came over to do the BWBS? grading spotted him and got him sent over to Germany. I saw him at the Trakehner Gala show in october at the licensing, and he is in the adverts Marbach are currently running in the Der Trakehner magazine so I think he is with them for 2008. I think he is only leased to them though.

Must have been Dr Senckenberg that arranged it then as he was the foriegn grading judge on the day, CTA is just the sort of horse that he likes and he has close associations with Marbach and the Trakehners.

Roll on 2009 stud season then and I hope SHBGB is now aware of just how good he is. You would have thought that they (or his owners who leased him to Germany) would have mentioned it in their publicity material somewhere, but no -- another PR opportunity missed <sigh>

Tranquil Bay - This stallion is based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and his stock are doing exceptionally well, both in showing, jumping and eventing.

His daughter "Tranquil Jubilee" bred by the owners of the stallion qualified for HOYS this year in the Hack class and did very well.

His stock are being purchased by jumpers, eventers and showing people. Unfortunately you would have to send your mare to the stud as he is in his twenties now, so its only natural covering.
