Hi,
My TB has (yet again) pulled off his front shoe - his shoes are slightly extended at the back to give him the support he needs - which means he quite easily stands on them and pulls them off.

I have a BE90 on saturday and due to other problems he hasn't jumped much in the last couple of weeks or seen fillers, which he can be spooky at. Tonight is my only chance of jumping him before saturday. Would it risk a strain etc if I were to jump him for 1/2 an hour or so on rubber, without the support he is used to from his shoe?

thanks

If it were normal shoes on a soft surface I would consider it (depending on horse)
However as you've said shoes are extended for support I would be wary of jumping without this.
