does anyone do this to their horse?

my saddler came out yesterday and had a look at my new girl - he also thinks it could be rain scald - he made a few phone calls to his very very good mates and came up with a few suggestions.

my saddler bought at TB with dreadful rainscald and gave it regular baths with TCP. His friends suggested benzyl benzoate and dectomec (something for sheep scab i believe)

So this morning, the new girl got fetched in from the big field after her 1st night out with my other horses and had a bath/scrub with dermoline shampoo, rinsed off and then her affected areas washed in tcp (2 parts water to 1 part TCP) I know stink of the damn stuff and i dont like it

Also TCP is strong and can cause burns I dilute it a lot more than 2:1 ratio. Hibiscrub is much better but also needs to be diluted, follow the instructions on the bottle.
