So i came on here a few weeks back asking if you thought it was a good idea to paint a horse shoe as a good luck gesture as she is moving to teach at a different school. This teacher has inspired me massively and has actually made me want to teach myself seeing what can be achieved :)

So here they are, painted at the moment and later once dried i will be sticking a brow tag ( think old fashioned parcel tag) onto my teachers one with a quote summarising what the horse shoe represents because she isn't horsey.

Here is the one we are keeping for Tessy Bears stable :)

And the one i am giving to my teacher, i shall post a picture of it when it's finished too with the tag and wrapped up :)

Ahh that's so lovely. Your teacher will love it.

Thank you :) Mum helped with it as my hands are not steady enough to do the text, i just wanted to give her something different and she descends from Romany Gypsy's so thought it links with the horsey culture of her family history :)

Oh that's lovely! How thoughtful :)

Something a bit different.... now recovering from the paint fumes in my room doing coursework :o

What a lovely thing to do, sure they will be thrilled to bits with it, well done you.

Thank you, she has inspired me so much i felt like crying when i found out she is leaving :-( so it's the east i can do for all the help she has given me over the past few years

That is lovely. I know a couple of teachers, all inundated with shop-bought "For Teacher" stuff at the end of every term - they have all said at various times that the occasions when a pupil give them something personal and meaningful are the ones that are really special. Anyone can go and buy something, but it takes time and care to make something, or write a little letter telling them how inspiring they have been. I think she will love it!

As an ex-teacher myself, I know she will be delighted! I can still look at the 'personal' gifts I got and remember the student. I'm ashamed to say that the wheelbarrow loads of Avon products could have come from anywhere.......
