Tearing my hair out with frustration and worry!

I feel for you. Wally had an abcess last summer and was out of action for about 8 weeks :( So frustrating.

I was lucky in that it was dry and he was fine on paddock rest with no worries about mud/wet and dirt. Stressful enough but it must be extra tough for you with the crap weather :(

There's been many a time when I've wished I could explain that I was just trying to help/that they need to stay still/etc.

Yes, it really would help if she could understand that I'm trying to help her, instead of her being fed up that I'm handling her sore hoof again. :(

8 weeks. Wow.

Luckily I have the option of turning her out in the sand school with the youngster for company. If this wasn't possible, I think that she would have wasted away by now as I've really struggled to keep her eating as ahe gets so stressed on box rest.

I've got to update the Farrier tomorrow and I fear that it'll be back to the box rest and poulticing. If there's no improvement soon, I'm going to talk to the vet re X-rays.
