I’ve seen lots of calming supplements however it sounds like the results are 50/50 , I’m against giving her things like regumate, I’m going for a more natural approach. My old mare used to get chamomile tea with her dinner most nights when I drank it, I was thinking of buying a bunch of herbs that have calming qualities such as valerian root, vervain , chamomile , raspberry leaves and making a tea out of it all then dumping it all in , liquid and the herbs at the bottom. Has anyone done this and found it to work?

I did a similar thing for when my retired pony Baggs was diagnosed with ulcers (I tailored the herbs to help gut health etc) and found he absolutely loved it and drank the liquid even after finishing his feeds. He's quite a fussy git to feed so hearing him slurp away getting all the dregs was a lovely (if somewhat loud!) noise in the mornings. I figured the body would be able to absorb it better as an infusion and he scoped clear 2 weeks before the vets predicted, which I put down to feeding the herbs as an infusion (and I was following veterinary advice of course throughout the ulcer treatment) :)
