Teazle's muscles have really slackened now leaving her tail bone quite prompt. Also just went to go and see her and her vulva has really relaxed and is quite puffy, but is gapeing slightly. But her milk is still a clear yellowy colour although it has gone darker in the last 2 days.

Any idea how long she might be now? Although i know its hard to know.

Any boobie pictures?

Sounds like she is getting ready, but some mares show all the signs a few weeks before they foal... but then some mares foal unexpectedly too, they like to keep you on your toes!

i would say good indication that its iminent!!..........but some mares just like tease us and keep us waiting as long as they can even with all the signs!!

Did you ever get the milk testing strips? Well the pool test strips. They are supposed to be bang on correct!

I never had a chance to use mine as Cloud just foaled. Her teats were only about as full as Teazles when she foaled so you can't really even go by that.

Lola's were just like that the last time I checked her, she showed no signs of discomfort etc, then, in the morning there was a baby. All a bit dramatic as it happened, caught me out big style.

I'll be watching for updates, Good Luck.

bracken looked like that the evening before she foaled!, i left thinkin no chance as no other outward signs of iminent foalin, got phonecall at 8am to say i had foal!!!.......went down and she hadnt even delivered the afterbirth! and blood on the floor was still bright red!!......they like you to to be sleep depraved and on your toes do mares!!!!!

I used to always worry about this, but on the night Lottie foaled, i fell asleep at 11pm and my mum was watching her, i then woke at 11.30pm and said to mum she isn't right, mum agreed at 1am we knew she was definitely in labour, 1.45am her waters broke and at 2.10 he was born.
We had watched Lottie for a month on the CCTV (she was 15days over due) so we knew her nightly antics inside out, we both (me & mum) knew something wasn't right from when we got her in that night,
we had been going home at around 7pm having dinner and a shower then coming back at 8-9pm, but the night he was born was the first night we decided not to go home,
We only did hourly checks about twice in those 4 weeks
Good Luck and i look forward to loads of pictures
