Ted has 9 lives

He has really perked up over the weekend, especially as the farrier came Fri eve and sorted his foot out.

He is still on 2 bute a day but is back to his annoying, cantankerous self.

He has a reprive for now, I'll drop the bute back to 1 in a few days and see how it goes.

I shall constantly reasses the situation, but the old boy is quite clearly saying it is not time yet!

We have one of those aswell. My daughters first pony was 40 this year. 3 times over the last 2 years we have set 'the date' and each time he does this amazing recovery back to a 4 yo. Currently he's still galloping about like a loony. Every winter we say it will be his last. Guess he has other plans

we had one like that! he was 46 when we finally had to say goodbye, he'd slipped in the field and was really lame in one hock... he still tried to canter up the trailer ramp tho!

He is a very cute pony.

I do think I am talking days rather than months though.

I think his soles are bulgeing slightly due to rotation.

At least you've had a think about the whole situation, so when the time does come (here's hoping it's not for a long, long time) then you'll be prepared.
