"Teenage" phase

When I bought Paddy, I put a lot of work into his training, and he was the best behaved dog I've ever had. Absolutely fantastic little dog.
But he's now been teenager-like for a few weeks
He's not naughty, he just decides not to come back, and if you ask anything, sit, stay, give paw, leave; it all means lie down.
I don't know if theres a way of breaking through this phase, do I restart training with treats etc or do I just accept he'll come out of this phase soon.

Get the treats back out again!!

He is only young isn't he? I expect he just needs reminding of things again - mix it up with treats and toys so he doesn't lose interest and he will soon be back to being well behaved again.

yeah he's only about 10 months old
Will make things interesting for him again
He's grown so much this week, never notice it when I'm with him every day

He's only young, is there any way you can get to a training class so that someone can give you some pointers. Don't take this the wrong way but 9/10 it is us making the mistakes, not the dog, and we just can't see it.
At his age I would certainly not put the treats away yet, I still use them sporadically, and especially at training club, for a 2.5yo.

I never stop training, every day is a training day for me, if you know what I mean?
But it is important to make it fun and part of his everyday routine - don't overcook him. Dogs who learn through endless boring repetition can eventually just turn off completely.
