I've been reading Cesar Millans book this week and this morning I took Boss to the nature park with millions of dogs. I saw a couple coming towards us to day and just did his visualisation trick, with just one "tsst" (and a touch on the shoulder to remind him) Boss walked right past without blinking an eyelid!!! Then he did it again, and again and again!!!! Not once did he hang off the lead or get in the way (I have my 6month old son in his pram with me, just to make things difficult!). We even met a mahoosive rottie (an ENTIRE male, who was so cuddly, yum yum!) and they just had a little sniff and lick and went on their merry ways.
Now for those of you who have sociable dogs, you will have no idea of the significance of this but for me and Boss it a huge step, and one closer to being off the lead with other dogs, I even had him walk beside me off the lead along a quiet stretch and he stayed beside me almost all the way (he would have shot off in the opposite direction normally).
So sorry for the self indulgent post but I am a happy bunny today!!!
