Teeth problems?

My cob has been a little reluctant to turn right recently and feels a little uncomfortable circling on the right rein too. Not lame or stiff, just not as willing.

The dentist is coming next week. Does this sound like a mouth issue to you?

Would riding in a bitless bridle/headcollar help me to identify if this is mouth or body related problem?

could be, mine goes completely dead on one rein when its dental time!?

'dead' describes it quite well actually.

Has anyone else had similar symptoms when the dentist is due?

This seems similar to my pony and his teeth. He was unhappy on his right rein so we got the vet out. He had a sharp tooth that had caused a small ulcer. Once this was filed down he seemed very much happier and continues to be so.
