Is it normal for your horse's teeth to bleed slightly after being filed down by the dentist?

I'm not talking a lot of blood, just I noticed when the dentist took her hand out of Belle's mouth there was a little bit of blood on them. Probably wouldn't have noticed had I not have been staring at the dentist with her whole hand in Belle's mouth, impressive!

Never had this with any of mine, the EDT's do wash the mouth out to wash away any filings that have been done but don't remember seeing any blood.

You probably need to ask VICTORIAEDT.

I know, I've seen it before luckily but OH hasn't and his eyes nearly popped out his head when he saw the bucket of tools she got out of the car! And then the gag came out, he thought it was an instrument of torture. There wasn't a lot of blood, and she's been grazing again today so think she's fine. Will pm victoriaEDT anyway.

Thanks

Thanks, it wasn't enough to really make me panic so hopefully it's fine. She was absolutely fine today and ate her tea, though I didn't put any carrots in caos she struggled with them yesterday and I was worried she might try and swllow them whole and get choke.

She was grazing fine too. Didn't ride tonight, will tomorrow instead
