Sam has got 2 tiny teeth on each side of his mouth. Near the Front behind his front teeth, really hard to explain without a picture. They are probably about half a centimetre big. Are they meant to be this big or are they growing? he is 2 yrs old.

Thanks xx

Sounds like he might have retained deciduous teeth (baby teeth) What breed is Sam as its mostly in small breeds or breeds with overcrowding. Often they can hold onto all 4 baby canines and occassionally some of the incisors too. At 2 yrs it doesn't sound like they are going to drop out naturally and may need to be extracted by your vet or they can lead to premature dental disease as food gets stuck in between them and tartar builds up quickly. Baby teeth are slightly different colour to adult teeth so if they are retained baby teeth you might be able to tell that way or poss post a piccie so we can see.

thanks for you help.

Well he doesn't have any retained canines in that shot. It all looks quite normal. Do you mean the little tooth behind the big canines. That looks like a normal pre-molar and nothing to worry about.
