Tell me I don't need one please

I don't normally post in here but need to opinions please.

I really want another Dog. I just need people to tell me I don't need another one. I have one already and she is lovely. Ellie is a Lab x Ret and she is brilliant. But the thing is I love my Jack Russells and I lost my baby 14 months ago have never got over loosing him. Sid was a brocken caoted jack russell and was my baby. I loved him so much. I have wanted another for so long. Now I'm sure your thinking ok well go get another one but the thing is I work alot and when I'm not at work I'm with the horses.

I'm sat here nearly in tears as I want one so bad but I'm not really sure it is fair on Ellie or a new puppy. I need to know what other people think please.

If Ellie can cope with you being at work and with the horses a lot why wouldn't a new one? In fact it would be nice for Ellie to have company wouldn't it? Can the dogs not come with you to the horses? Sorry, wrong person to talk anyone out of getting another dog

Completely echo what OOTP says - I work too, but mine are fine when I am at work (I have video evidence to reassure myself

) and they come to the yard with me every morning/evening

I think a new dog would be company for Ellie - perhaps think of an older one not a small puppy, as it would be easier to leave when you are at work?
