I think that dry food must be better for teeth: obviously, it scrapes off tartar etc better than wet food and is less likely to leave 'tea stains' on teeth. Some random person on another forum is trying to tell me that it makes no difference but all the vets I've spoken to have said it's better to feed dry as well as and/or instead of wet (I don't feed anything but raw but someone was asking for advice)

Well I'm no expert but our rescue lucher had stained teeth when we got her last jan. As well as small amount of tinned mine all get complete dry on an ab lib (used to it so don't abuse it) and her teeth are now much less stained and she hasn't had them cleaned so must make some difference!

Yep agree with vet better to feed dry as it does help to keep teeth clean due to the crunch, obs not as good as RAW but def far better than soaked food, Im not a fan of soaked it must taste of nowt, except water.
Feeding tinned meat only, usually has the teeth manky as hell and breath fowl.

Thank you for restoring my sanity!

I was ashamed that Jake and Brig had horribly stained teeth: Brig's are a bit better but it's staining, not tartar so I reckon nowt will help.

Cayla, am picking up that fab Mal on Thursday on the way back down south: lock her up or lose her!

I'd best leave her there, then!

My lot are being snow ploughs and shovelling it up whilst running at speed. Had to laugh at Zak on the ice rink formerly known as my driveway: he was so confused about being unable to run!
