Have "man flu" so as i am female I went to work of course - (OH spent 3 days in bed with his) have the post Christmas Blues and it was my first day back at work !.

I have 3 horses, and it has been minus 2 all day, yard was sheet ice at 6am so decided to keep horses in so no broken legs (mine more than horses). No water except from Y'O's out house - which means i had to carry gallon buckets to the other end of the yard - approx 500 yards - first and second journey fine - thereafter agghhhhh! Now my arms are aching - my back aches from doing 3 beds twice in one day and the forcast is just as bad for the rest of the week.

Came home, burst into tears and told OH i am selling up ! no support from him - he just said "yes dear, whatever you say - whats for dinner and have i a clean shirt for tomorrow"?

Sounds familiar I cooked for nine high on sudafed xmas day.
Friend has left her horses with oh as they are moving when I praised him for looking after them his comment was I have to prefer my balls in the right place

Clip him hard round the head,tell him to start dinner himself or take away if he wants to eat, he must know where his clean shirts are kept. Now you get yourself a hot water bottle, hot whisky and lemon and write down a list of what he has to do before he goes to work and go to bed.
 
I know how you feel, I had the virus from hell all over christmas, still getting over it now, had fatigue like goodness knows what! I'm afraid my horses have to rough it if I'm not well, they live out with plenty of hay, I still went twice a day and just topped up their hay and smashed the ice on the water. They survived very well and are now coming in again now I feel a bit better.

Try and take the pressure off yourself and look after yourself, you will be no good to your neddies if you don't get well.

Hope you feel better soon, if not, take some sick time.

Why do we bother being in a relationship , mine has got better thought i must admit, but i left him twice to get the message across. if you are ill simply stop when you get home he will have to help out end of x

Blimey, where i work the heating has not worked for weeks, before the festive break that is, but they wont send us home

First day back tomorrow, eekk! Thankfully I am over my flu at last.

Heating, heating! I'm working at a stud and looking after 50 horses a day in this weather and yes I did say 50! plus I have my own two to see to at dawn and dusk, however I do have a very lovely husband who does cook and make me delicious cups of tea every now and then and hot chocolate before I go to bed. But yes Gingerwitch things will get better for you, just take a horse whip to that man of yours ( maybe not as he might think he's in for a treat, lol) and tell him to start looking after you for a change. Come summer, this cold, hard winter will be but a distant memory...........
