Need serious talking to. When am I going to learn to sit up before blooming fence, especially on horse liable to run out?

Horse is stupid - I'm blaming him (well a bit me, too)! - jumping all of 2ft and he has in his glorious past easily done 4ft-plus.

So it is a treble with deeply scary parallel (to him) as last fence. Does it once pants, next time good, third time, I'm out side-door. Hit deck, neck a little bit hurt. But pride deeply hurt. If I do everything perfect, he is good boy. But when am I ever going to get this right. Head hurts now - and pride

do you think the first and second time he is just testing how far forward you are getting before his right moment comes along?

I think you're on to something there.

If it makes you feel any happier i did XC on the horse i ride for the first time the other week (first time for her). she is really excitable and jumped the first few with flyers. then we met a very very scary (haha) 2ft tiger trap. she stopped, i started to sit more and more forward, she started to stop and duck out more. I then gave myself a bit of a position talking too, and made myself think whilst going into the fence sit back, sit back, and once i did that she jumped it!

Grrr, the moral of the story has to be sit back!!! tehe! Why ohh why does your position have to be so important!
