Today I did an unaff dressage competition and I had a fab day with my lovely horse (hoping to do a report tomorrow when I've got the pics from my mum!). We won the Novice and got the highest score of the day across all the classes so I get to choose the charity to donate £100 to from the dressage club! As it's from the dressage I'd like to pick a horsey charity, but I'm not sure which one!

I'm leaning towards a race horse training charity, as although I dont have an exracer I think the work they do is brilliant. Or the other one I was thinking of is the Cairo Farrier, as again they seem to do good work. But I'd love to hear suggestions, especially from people who have direct contact with any equine charities.

Equine Market Watch .. the lady who runs this is tireless!!! and when i win the lottery,(cos i am going to!! :p ) she is down on my list to have a huge amount!!

Prince Fluffy Kareem or EMW, agreed.
Or, Society for the Welfare of Horses and Ponies, they work tirelessly, esp for hill ponies in the winter.
Or SPANA, who I donate to monthly.
Or, Bransby, who were great with Carrot and Spud.
So many deserving charities. Need a lottery win.

How about your local RDA group? The work they do has a huge impact on the children they work with :)
So many good causes to choose from though, I'm sure where ever you choose will be extremely grateful :)

If I'm looking to donate money to charity it is always to the air ambulance.
OK so not a direct horse charity but indirectly they help many riders every year.

Have just googled this charity as Id never heard of it. What horrendous pictures, Ive never seen anything like it. Would certainly get my vote, and my money

Yep it's a bit of a random name for a charity but if you go on their facebook page they are very active and upload pics almost daily of the goings on. Unfortunately lots of people are so uneducated in Cairo and the end product is sometimes pretty horrendous. PFK not only treat the horses but also are slowly starting to educate the people ,especially the young ones. They *need* donations to keep going and are very grateful of any donation they get.
