Has anyone used this company?

They took our mare away 12 days ago and we asked for the individual ashes to be returned to the livery yard she was collected from.

By last Friday we'd not heard anything so I phoned them to ask when we could expect them to be delivered because we want to arrange to do something with them. The lady I spoke to said that they would be ready early this week and they would phone just before delivery. I've heard nothing and neither have the YOs. I'm getting concerned. I know lots of people use them but I'm fretting about where my mare is!

Has anyone used them?

I haven't, but i know from our experience with our shetland. In the end he took about a month to come back to us! She'll be back to you soon, i know that it's hard to wait, it seems to take forever, you wouldn't have thought it could all take so long!

I'm not in your area, but when I had my old boy put down in Hampshire three years ago, I think it took nearly a month for his ashes to come back to me, and they were delivered to my vet who then rang me.

Thank you everyone. So it could be the start of August before we get them so no need to panic yet, then

We are taking the boy to Cornwall in August (14th-31st) and hopefully will have dealt with the ashes by then (we are taking them to Cornwall where we spend a lot of our time with our horses).

Thank you all so much for replying

Oh goodness'. Spoke to a friend today who lost her mare in April. She said you don't get all the ashes back, just a token amount in a little box. We are quite spiritual and really wanted all of her back

Surely if you've asked for an individual cremation, they should give you all of the ashes! But i supose each company is different. We had all of our shettie back, but i guess there's only so much you can fit in a coffin. Even then he was only a few inches from the top, bearing in mind he was a mini shettie and his box was 12" by 18" and a 12" deep possibly a bit bigger! I would call them just to double check what happening, just to re-affirm to them what you wanted!
Good luck, i hope everything turns out ok! Thoughts are with you!

I had my mares individually cremated and they came back in a big box each. The company I used did use a cremulator though so no lumpy bits left to take up a lot of space.

I'm sure your girl will be home soon.
