Our outdoor school is fab but doesn't have any lights. Fine at the minute, but in winter I really need to keep my boy in work due to rehab work. Has anyone come up with a temporary solution to provide enough light to ride in in the evening in winter?

if you look on Ebay there are battery powered outdoor lights which may well be powerful enough to school on the flat. You might be able to get rechargeable batteries for them.

I bought rechargable site lights from ebay and hung them from meat hooks around the arena. One charge lasted about 2 weeks with me riding three nights a week for about an hour.
Plenty of light for flat work but I wouldn't go so far as to jump.

Do you have electric at the yard? If you have you could do as I did a few years ago at a yard with no lights on the arena. I used an extension lead & a pair of double site lights on tri pod bases. I put one in one corner & the other in corner at opposite end. There was enough light to ride by & I'd put them away again at the end of the session. :)
