There is a pony club event this weekend, has anyone been to Tenantry Farm, Rockbourne, Fordingbridge just wondered what the arenas, show jumping and intermediate XC course were like?
I've been quite a few times it's quite a nice course depending which jumps they use. Not up to BE standard but still very good. But yer they can use any jumps and it changes so often so can't tell you what the intermediate course will be like. The xc is mostly flat but the sj and dressage are both on grass and slopes.
They have a water you should get a step in for the intermediate and step out sometimes and there are trakehners, and quite a few combination fences.
Hope that helps
KB - Thanks have just searched some threads on here and they say the ground is not good, is that the case as in another thread there are some xc photos of someone schooling and it looks like there is at least good coverage
If you mean flatness definetly not that great but not bad actual ground in sj and dressage (in the way that noone is allowed on it when just xc schooling) however the ground on the xc is not as good- though iv never really noticed it being particuarly bad but that may be because mine can run on whatever
I havent been there lately so the info im giving may be completely useless sorry ;s
Haven't been for a while as its a bit too far from my current yard, but I've always really liked it there. I'm fussy about ground and have never found it to be a problem. There is a good selection of fences too. I think its a nice course.
Thanks everyone plans have changed and are now taking up team places at Coombelands, but will try and get there some time as sounds like somewhere ok that we have not been before
