My guy has two sausage shaped swellings either side of the fetlock on his back leg. I have self diagnosed a tendinous windgall!!!

Have read that these should not cause any problems however, not keen to leave it in case I have got it terribly wrong.

He's had them for a couple of weeks now and is not in hard work...10 - 15 mins walking, bit of trot, most days. Apparently these are caused by hard work but he's not been in any form of hard work for over a year.

They came up before I had started riding him so a bit of a mystery. What do you suggest? Get the vet out to be on safe side as intending to up his work soon?

my lad has one on his back legg,he has had it for about a month,he doesnt really do alot any more though so i wouldnt says his was due to hard work either but he is 23,my farrier was down today so i asked him if there was anything i could do about it and he said just give it a cold hose to reduce it,but it shouldnt bother him,he isnt lame and it doesnt hurt him when i press it.

my mare has them but is fine. If they come up real bad we get the hose pipe out and just cold hose her. Only other time we treat them is after she has done xc we put the coolsport boots on her.
