Hi,

Looking at the PE tendon boots, I have a sensitive tb but are the sheepskin lined any good? I know wool is a natural product with benefits etc but is it counter productive in a tendon boot?
Any other tendon boot recommended?
TIA :)

Obviously they’re super beneficial in terms of taking away moisture and sweat, and as well being a natural material it’s a lot more breathable, and I find the sheepskin definitely adds more cushioning so if your TB is sensitive skinned rubbing is less likely and similarly if your horse does get a knock it will offer a bit more of impact protection - that being said I find it an absolute pain if it’s a particularly wet day or I do XC schooling or competitions through water because getting the sheepskin to dry takes so long in comparison to the neoprene ones!

I am not sure that the Premier Equine tendon boots are lined with sheepskin, it is 'Techno Wool', which is artificial. I find Premier Equine horse boots to come up quite small. A large was tight on my warmblood who was not that chunky.

If you want some cost effective tendon boots that are lined with sheepskin, Eskadron are excellent and you may find where the elastic straps are much thicker, they'll be better for your sensitive Thoroughbred.
