tendon/fetlock boot help...

can someone help me please. I need to buy some tendon and fetlock boots for the big girl.
Bought a full set of GFS leather and wool boots at Olympia in full size but they dont fit anywhere near.

So for you who have big horses where did you get some?

Or does anyone have a clue where I can get a decent set of leather/wool lined (preferably interchangable with neoprene) for my 17.2hh mare whos got wuite big legs.

are they proper leather if you get what i mean - ive always thought that they are imitation leather - will go have a look thanks

No sorry completely missed the leather bit!! Doh!! They are synthetic leatherette outer, but they last ages, and wash really well.

doh!! never mind. would really prefer leather if i can get some to fit but if not ill see if they will fit her. - why did she grow so bloody big

Sure they do large set for 11" bone. So might be worth bearing in mind if all else fails, and at least they would be easier to clean!!

The boots that are sold on this site come up very large so they would probably fit your horse.

Must measure her legs in the morning to see how big her legs are. Hope they arent bigger than 11" or ill never get anything to fit her

never thought about that. Thats why id thought about the interchangeable insides so the wool could get washed seperately. DOH!!

thankies ever so much. love the equiport ones but bet they are v expensive. Also love the last ones but could only find them to be weighted so thanks ever so much for pointing these ones out to me - will give them a ring tomorrow

No worries just hope they do them big enough!! I got some Devoucoux fetlocks for my lad years ago at a Winsor show, he had big bone like yours, the chap at stand & also my trainer reckoned that size 3 would be big enough I doubted & said I would take size 4. He said I could take them back if didn't fit as horse was so there so could go try them on. They only just fit!!! On last hole! But so lovely with the green sheepskin!!

just checked out the prices - £150 for the tendon boots and £100 for the fetlock boots.

Me thinks ill have to get some more overtime in at work to afford these especially as ive just nearly kitted her out with a new wardrobe!!

yes I hope the 3 will fit her - will measure her legs in the morning to see how big she really is.
I couldnt even get the GFS one to fasten on the last hole and they were full/large size.
yes the green sheepskin is lovely.
