Its definitely starting to look like I'm going to have to sell my mare due to financial difficulties. I've been struggling for a while but with a distinct lack of potential sharers coming forward I think its time to place an advert.
Anyway, here goes. I know she's not going to be worth much but I'm clueless with prices.
16.2hh, 11 yrs half TB mare. (poss. X ID but unsure)
Good points:-
- pretty well schooled on the flat. finds collection/extension really easy and naturally engages and works through her back. working novice/elementary at home.
- perfect to hack. she likes to have a look at everything but is bombproof in traffic, doesn't nap or spook, loves a gallop but always pulls up.
- fantastic jumper. jumped BSJA up to newcomers, only competed lightly but never placed lower than 3rd. Now jumping unnaffiliated with me (competitive numpty) and consistently coming 1st/2nd at 2'6'' upwards. Very brave and knows her job inside out.
- been hunting, done hunter trials, loves XC. been there, done everything and enjoys everything!
- no vices, excellent to shoe, clip, load, bath, trots over and sticks her nose in the headcollar when you go to catch her.
- sharp and forward going but never bucks, rears, bolts etc.
- works her butt off always put 100% into everything she does, and will really look after a novice/nervous rider for an occasional ride.
Bad Points:-
- had bone spavin and has LOU for Affiliated Eventing. fully fused, passed flexion tests. not given her any problems in the year I have had her.
- very sharp, gets bored quickly and needs consistent work and a lot of variety. can be ridden by novice but would quickly get into bad habits and needs someone experienced to keep her in line
- can be bargy to handle, and is generally dominant and disrespectful to horses and people so needs experienced owner.
I'd like an approximate how much, would be selling with full wardrobe including tack, range of boots and range of rugs in all weights and styles. Everything fairly new and in good condition.
heres a confo shot, only really decent pic I have of her at present (front left foot doesn't look like that really - its a bit of dirt she's standing in!)
