Tentative thoughts on retirement livery - Berkshire/ Oxfordshire recommendations ?

Asking on behalf of friend with a 15yo 14.2hh mare who is her world. She's thinking it might be the best option as the mare has historical sacroilliac and suspensory injuries as well as mild hock arthritis and feels a quieter life in a happy herd where she will be safe and have lots of turnout. She has no one to hack her as circumstances have changed - and the pony cannot cope with being schooled any more.
So, looking for recommendations in and around the Oxfordshre/ Berkshire areas. Would preferably want stabled at night in winter as this is what the pony is used to and doesn't want her out in horrendous/ freezing weather. Would also want worming programme, farrier and dentist checks etc .. basically a full livey without the ridden I guess. Friend is distraugt enough at the idea of not seeing her pony daily but wants what is best for her so really needs to know any care promised is being delivered.

Are there such places ? Would be very grateful for recommnedations and why ? Also any retirement yards to avoid.

^^Aus comes highly recommended.

Also I would suggest Oxford Retirement Livery in Islip - they have a fantastic setup including a barn for the horses to free range in the worst of the weather. It means they get more movement , good for creaky joints! I want ours to go there eventually.

I second both of these. I would want mine to go to Auslander or to Oxford Retirement.

My youngster was at Cold Harbour and a few friends have retired mares there - all warmbloods who had pampered, stabled lives with individual turnout during their working careers. They've all adapted brilliantly to living out 24/7/365 in a herd, and in a way I think it's easier for a horse to retire to that rather than maintain a stabled routine.
They have regular hoof, worming and any other required care and there are stables and small paddocks if needed.
