Yeah, it's fine - plenty of people do it. Stick down the details and the price bracket you're working with and people will be glad to help you spend your money.
Can I join in????!!!!
I'm looking for 6-10 year old gelding, 15.2-16.1 suitable for dressage with potential to go to elementary. Experienced rider but not brave so want sane but not boring character who will also enjoy hacking alone and in (not very well behaved!) company. Can stretch to 7k. Must be easy to do as will live as member of family and be handled by my elderly mum who doesn't appreciate being messed about with! Live in South Wiltshire and would prefer not to travel too far, so perhaps south/south west.
OK then, I'm looking for a 16.1hh - 17hh, gelding 4-9yrs, LW/MW (TBx, sportshorses, WBx etc). Must be a good hack, good in traffic, ok to go out alone and in company. Excellent temperament and enjoys being around people - no grumpy horses please. Potential or already doing some dressage at novice level. Good to travel, shoe, clip can be managed by one person at shows etc. Not a plod but not strong, fizzy or excitable, snaffle mouthed and no vices. Budget 4k. Would prefer to be looking locally - yorkshire area (within about 90min travelling distance of doncaster).
If anyone knows of any reputable dealers in the area too then please let me know.
I can offer a a very loving spoilt home!
Thanks!
I don't have any horses for sale (but would take offers on OH if anyone's interested?).
In my experience, tis not wise to put your budget forward...as now everything you see will mysteriously be at the top end of your budget....how cynical am I?

you could try Bruce Everall at Acrecliffe riding school in Otley. My friend got her extremly talened Irish Draught from him. He is very honest,, and does have some wonderful horses 01943 873912
Bruce everall aaah where to begin.
Yes has got and has dealed with many fantastic horses but really pushes up prices. Would be able to find you a fab horse but i dont think he is one to say "sorry this horse is not for you" few friends bought ponies from him all have been very successful and still have these ponies. Much more into show jumpers than anything else but im sure it wouldnt be much of a challenge. He could be one worth ringing!
good luck
and i know a fab mare for sale in bradford area if interested?!
Sorry I'm only into geldings!!! Let me know if you hear of any decent ones going in west yorks for me though.
I'm aware of the Stubley lady thanks, she just never really seems to have any big fellas in, mostly up to 16hh.
Thanx Llwyncwn - just going to take my time and each step slowly.
