....equals a relatively calm Terrierist at Burghley! Hooray!

I probably did look a little odd with a water pistol attached to my belt loop all day, but one gobby woof and he got squirted - cue silence. He seemed to gradually realise that rather than barking at other dogs, it's better just to step away. I'm not taking him to XC day though!

He got presents, a lovely Thermatex type coat, and a really nice leather collar. Here he is modelling his coat:

Oh - and the 'Bear Nibbles' stand seriously need to amend their marketing strategy. A man in a very realistic grizzly bear outfit is not the best plan when there's hundreds of dogs around - most of them , including Stan, were absolutely terrified of it.

Aw, looking smart, glad you got on top of the gobbiness - re the man in the bearsuit, he would have been on his back if mine had been there :o I had to tread very carefully with the giant lifeboat man a few weeks ago :o

water pistol seems to be a brilliant way to handle gobbiness, although it did require some concentration because I felt the timing had to be spot-on.

It was a good job I saw the bear man before Stan did and had got a really firm hold of his lead because I think he would have bolted, I've never seen him so frightened :( I wouldn't be surprised if a few dogs do try to take it on.
