Just picked up a copy of the new Tesco Direct catalogue in store this morning, as big as an Argos book. Looking through it they have 6 pages of equestrian products, just the stuff they sold in store last year... BUT boy does it bring back memories.
When I was a kid my Mum's best friend ran a catalogue, not sure what one but something like Great Universal and they used to sell horse gear, just a few things, jodhpurs, hats, whips, grooming kits etc.. As a ponyless kid I used to wear those pages thin imagining that one day I would have a pair of jodhpurs...
This book just brought those memories flooding back, there in a book filled with all the latest household gadgets, is a small corner of countryside life that are horses.. I wonder will there be ponyless kids doing what I did many many years ago...
