Since my horses aren't going out competing any more and hardly leave home, I am not going to bother with flu jabs. But tetanus jabs I want to keep on giving.

the rescue pony has had 2 jabs (had to start course as very much doubt he'd ever seen a tet jab before!) Is that the initial course done now? vet didn't mention booking for another and silly me forgot to ask.

My old lad has just come back to me after being sold beginning of the year (long story!) and they didn't get his flu/tet done when it was needed (Feb). Nor did they get him feet done since they bought him either - came back with the same shoes (barely) on!. Now I want to only give him tetanus jabs, when is that due? Will I need to start the course again?

Thanks. Pony has had the first 2 tetanus, so another due next year. The big lad had the course of flu/tet started aug 08, another 6 weeks later (both equip ft) and then another flu (equip f) in march 09 to finish course. Was due again feb/march this year, but was sold in Jan and they didn't do it. Now he is back home I'm wondering if I can get away with a tet booster now - his last tetanus was 29/9/08 with equip ft
