Does anyone know if there's any way of telling whether an entry has been accepted for Tetton? I entered the novice with a ballot sticker but suspect every eventer in the north/west of England will have done the same in the vague hope that they may get a run before the month's out. Also I left it open as can run Saturday or Sunday but would quite like to know which day I'm down for to plan competing the other horses. Have tried the www.hemseventing.co.uk site but it just says error????? Is it just a case of playing the old fashioned game and waiting for written confirmation in the week preceding the event?

ps. never seen the novice course - anyone know what it's like?

you will just have to wait, but they do fit as many as posible in, the show jumping is always up to height and the xc is on the big side, there is a fabulous drop hedge (!!!!) and the Xc is usually the most influential phase, its probably my favourite event for that reason!

Hell: SJ not my fav, don't mind how big/technical XC is. In fact the only chance I have of a decent result is when there's a proper big XC (or 10 inchs of mud!).

I went a few years ago to do the Novice with my mum's horse, we were last after the dressage and had 5! done show jumping!!!!!! went round the xc clear and fast and came 10th!!!!!!!
