So nervous to remove his wrap and see what is under there but must be done every other day for two weeks! Aunt Peggy is coming by to help me shortly. I suspect after I do it once I will be fine. Just so anxious to see what is under there.
As you can see from the last pic he has little swelling and if you only saw the vet wrap and him standing and grazing you would think little was wrong. Almost makes the worry easier that way.

Anyhow...a few pics of the poor boy
may take some when we change the dressing of the actual injury if all goes smooth and I have a chance

THE SUPPLIES....READY FOR ATTACK!

The injury( pre changing first vet dressing)......not looking all that bad deceivingly. Is it a good sign we have no swelling?

Good Luck, you are so lucky to have your Aunt close to help you with this all.
I should think that no swelling is a very good sign, at least you know that infection hasn't set in and is moving upwards.

I could have done with a horsey person recently to hold Zeus for his injections, that horse does NOT like me anymore

I am sure the lack of swelling must be a good sign, and he doesn't look as if he is in a great deal of pain. Will keep sending him positive vibes. Good luck with the dressing change.

Good luck Jade, and ditto - good there's no swelling. Actually Tex is looking quite alert with ears pricked forward, so that seems a very good sign

It always gives me butterflies in the stomach if I have to look at & deal with an injury on a horse....., but it's amazing how well nature can do it's job with time & a bit of help.
