Texts about 2 men stealing horses! Sorry again!

Just wanted to say that im up in Dundee, Scotland and have had th etext message about these men, so have others with horses in this area, does anyone know exactly where these guys are targeting or are they really getting everywhere??

I'm not sure - there has been a horse stolen in Devon (see earlier posts), we're aberdeenshire and I haven't heard anything. I THINK it may be now a case of warning everyone in the hope that they won't target other areas. Sadly though, if they are determined enough then they'll do it anyway.
 
Ive just posted on another thread, but weve had it too and we are in Manchester. Least we can be more vigilant
 
thats what i was thinking, at least if these guys are willing to travel and steal to order then everyone is warned and on the look out! saw the devon post which was what made me put this one up, told my boss about the message i got and she was a bit worried about our riding school ponies!
 
I think this is just one well-meaning text of a genuine sighting in some part of the country that has really, really gotten out of hand.

we have had a story about a 2 horse's being stolen in west lothian scotland. with some elements of this '2guys in a van 'thing taking piccies.
I spoke to dads friend who is a copper, he has had a look see on the system and nothing seems to be on it about horse's being stolen.
He is going to look into further for me just to be on teh safe side.
 
What I don't get it why these texts etc say about these men taking pics of horses - if this is the case then why is noone taking pics of the men?? I think i would be!

there not gypsys stealing them why is it people think oh horses stolen it must be for appleby on another fourm gypsys from one area had the same 2 men taking photos of there coloureds so they are targeting all off us horses are stolen to order most proberly to go abroad not to a well known fair a gypsy i know a few months ago had his sec d stallion stolen he had him for years so it happens to them too
 
QR- I got it last night and I'm in Stirling, Scotland.

Our yard is pretty secure with loads of gates & CCTV as well as YOs on site. My horses are all freezemarked or microchipped.

I know it's probably texts got out of hand and forwarded to everyone UK wide but still worries you a bit. I don't know what I'd do if any of mine were taken; I mean where would you even start looking for them??

I have no idea how to use this but i would just like 2 say

no1 had ever told me about these two men before until tonight , when i remembered a man was taking pics of me and my friend galloping along a common in devon today!!.

Luckily our horses dont live there, we had travelled over by box so hopefuly they will not find them if they look for them.

I wish someone had told me before, and i wouldnt have let the man take pics, who knows what i would have done lol

Has anyone actually had their horses stolen... in Devon ????
