Decided to give TVHW a call as I am in Berkshire area. They have had numerous sightings and the whole police force up and down the country are currently working on it! - however, in Thames Valley area to date no thefts are linked with these dodgy characters.

What they did say is it is great that they have had so much intelligence in on it and this allows them to work on it much faster!

Be on your guard but they are asking people not to panic and only to report confirmed sightings to them.

Thank god someone knows for sure whats going on, did they say if there had been any confirmed sightings of these men in the Thames Valley? I am in Andover

there was a suggested sighting in the Bicester area, however the registration number taken didn't match any previous intelligence and that one is being followed up (it was relatively local to the Oxford area so probably completely innocent)

There are active gangs going around with cameras, this has been confirmed, however in Thames Valley area, no vehicle plates given but only confirmed sightings NOT via text from local horse owners.

I really think the texts and emails are confusing the issue. I think its probably nothing more than the normal people you get casing yards, texts and general mass hysteria pushing things out of proportion.

However, wise to stay on your guard at any time.

Someone has just mentioned that she has heard of two men apparently attempting to steal a horse in Southwell yesterday. Unsure how true this is and I am now extreamly worried as my boy is in Southwell.
