Thames Valley Police Ringmaster Message

On Saturday 7th June a caller from a farm in Ashmore Green Road, Ashmore
Green reported that at around 20.30 hours a suspicious male was seen
taking photographs of horses in the field. The male was described as of
Eastern European appearance , white aged around 25 years, about 5ft 10''
with black hair. He was wearing black cargo trousers and a multi
coloured jacket. Hw was last seen walking up Asmore Green Road towards
Cold Ash (URN 1496 OF 07.06.08)

Another report was received of suspicious males in the Burghfield Common
area on Sunday 8th June. At around midday two white males turned up at
a stables and asked questions about the horses and cars parked at the
stables. The males were driving a white van, index number EN04UPR.(URN
708 of 08.06.08)

If have any information about the above events or witness a similar
incident please call the Police on 0845 8 505 505 and quote the URN
number and date.

If you have any information about the above message that is of an urgent
nature please contact our police enquiry centre on 0845 8 505 505 and
state you are responding to this Ringmaster message.

Have you not heard of reverse psychology, or the fact that someone casing your yard doesnt really make an effort to blend in, they are casing your yard and horses, end of.

If they have the balls to steal your gear, they wont care what clothes they are wearing!

Thread after thread I have noticed you mocking some posts, maybe if this was in your area (this actual thread does relate very closely to my area) you would be more concerned.

Better to have some warning than none at all dont you think?

Well excuse me, and actually one of the rumours WAS about my area, in fact it was about a mile away from where my ponies are kept!

I don't mean to mock anyone but there's no point getting stressed out about stuff like this. All I was pointing out was that he was a bit daft drawing attention to himself if he was planning on committing a crime. I'm not going to belittle any actual crimes.

I thought as it was an official police message with crime reference numbers etc that it was important to post unlike so many others who post text rumours which is fueling the current hysteria- BTW who gives a f**k what they are wearing? Even the gypsies are losing horses so its very important not to sterotype
