Hello Everybody,
Just to say thank you to everybody that replied to my first post about my confidence issues!
Today I went down to the yard to do something with Sunny with the help of my experienced friend who has been really helpful, she has been the one who has previously been walking round with me on the end of a lunge line.
Did some lunging, went really well, he was a lot more forward and even a bit lively (for him!)
My friend rode him round and said it was the best ride on him yet.
When it was my turn to get on board I really didn't feel the fear I usually get, my friend asked me if i wanted to be on the lunge line and to my surprise (and my friend and mums) I said no.
We walked around for a while and then I tried some turning on the forehand, which he did wonderfully, considering I didn't really know if I was doing it right!
And then again to my surprise, I said I was going to have a trot, and I did, he was wonderful, he really looks after me and is such a sweet boy.
This is all thanks to all who replied to me. Somebody said I should do things without the intention of doing anything at all, and it has really worked. I found because I hadn't decided, or said I was going to do anything, I just made decisions there and then, and there was none of this stomach flipping going on!

) I think to myself well, I don't HAVE to ride/hack out/whatever......and when I take the pressure off and relax everything works out so much better.
