To all who replied to a previous post about horses getting cast. It meant that when my filly did it again (after pulling down 3ft banks) i was able to get her up safely . Quite why she dug the bank out then rolled at such an odd angle i don't know. I've had several people view the stable who can't advise any other prevention methods so counting down the days until she is out!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but you can get anti cast strips that you fit to the stable walls from Fieldguard, it's supposed to give them a foothold against the wall so they can right themselves.
